Green Bonds and Sustainable Finance Executive Program

The Green Bonds & Sustainable Finance Executive Program — a collaboration between the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), the Stockholm Sustainable Finance Centre and the Stockholm School of Economics Executive Education — brings senior staff from banks in emerging markets to Stockholm for an intensive week of training. The focus is on green bond structuring, sustainable credit analysis, ESG integration and the operational frameworks needed to steer capital toward low-carbon projects. When a new delegation arrived for this edition of the programme, I was commissioned to produce a follow-up film documenting the visit. Throughout the week, participants engaged with Swedish financial institutions, sustainability specialists and researchers from SEI and SSE. Case-based workshops offered hands-on insight into identifying eligible green assets, managing proceeds, designing reporting structures and aligning financial products with broader sustainability strategies. Filming the programme provided a close look at how capacity building can accelerate the growth of sustainable finance in developing economies. The mix of international perspectives and Swedish market experience created a dynamic environment where participants exchanged challenges, learned from each other and explored concrete pathways to scale green finance within their institutions. The film captures these moments — and the wider ambition behind the programme: enabling financial actors to support climate-aligned development through practical, well-designed instruments.
