Carambole – Van Vetereen – Håkan Nesser
While working at the post-production house Posthuset, I served as Postproduction Assistant on three feature films based on Håkan Nesser’s crime novels — Carambole being the second in the series. Directed by Daniel Lind Lagerlöf, the 102-minute film sees Van Veeteren reluctantly pulled back into police work when two decapitated bodies are discovered in rapid succession. As the investigation forces teams from Maardam and Kaalbringen to collaborate, tensions rise and loyalties blur, making it increasingly difficult to distinguish allies from adversaries.
Carambole was screened in SF cinemas across Sweden and later broadcast on SVT, reaching a wide national audience. My role at Posthuset involved supporting the film’s postproduction workflow, contributing to the completion of one of the most notable entries in the Van Veeteren series.
