The Equal Project is a collaboration between Folke Rydén Production and the Stockholm-based company Atmo, resulting in two full-length TV documentaries and a collection of five shorter films. I worked on the project as Postproduction Assistant, supporting the technical workflow across the various formats and episodes. Directed by Lisa Belfrage and Marianne Gustafsson, the series offers a revealing look at the mechanisms of the labour market. In its central documentary — Rekryterarna — viewers follow recruiters behind the scenes to understand how they select the “right” person for a job, and how much influence they wield in either opening or closing doors for jobseekers. The films combine reportage, interviews and observational scenes to highlight systemic challenges and questions of fairness in modern recruitment. The Equal Project was broadcast on SVT and Kunskapskanalen, reaching a wide public audience with its social and workplace insights.
